Because of its thick gel-like texture, the lotion spreads easily and softly onto skin without cotton pads, that are commonly used to apply a product evenly. The lotion is immediately absorbed by the skin and has high osmotic properties.

The lotion boasts a well-balanced complex of ingredients and can be used as an independent skincare product to moisturize the skin throughout the day (for example, after gym workout).

Toner

Lotion is an intensive skin-awakening product, that prepares the skin for further care and is even capable of correcting patchy color of dull “tired” skin.

Kabosu is a bitter orange hybrid with a unique pleasant scent. Kabosu is grown in most regions in Oita prefecture, where you can sometimes even come across 300-year old kabosu trees. Oita covers more than 90% of the domestic kabosu production volume, and in other parts of Japan the fruit is regarded as a delicacy.

The scent of kabosu is more delicate than that of lemon or orange, it combines the freshness of citrus with a unique flower note. The scent is calming and has a light relaxing and stress-relieving effect.

Dipotassium glycyrrhizate is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and smoothing properties. It has been successfully used in medicine to cure dermatitis. It is a powerful soothing agent suitable for sensitive skin prone to irritation, redness and itch. The component relieves irritation caused by environment, including UV-radiation, and mechanical irritants (contact dermatitis). Also, it effectively protects the skin and prevents inflammation.

Hydrogenated starch hydrolysate protects the skin from moisture loss and relieves irritation caused by aggressive surfactants, mechanical skin irritants, polluted air of the unfavorable ecological environment.

Sake sediment extract is a byproduct obtained by the decomposition (fermentation) of rice in the process of brewing sake—a traditional Japanese beverage. The extract has a rejuvenescent effect as it contains a large amount of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that supply the skin with necessary nutrients and stimulate its regeneration. Moreover, sake sediment extract corrects uneven skin tone: free linoleic acid and arbutin found in the extract lighten the complexion by inhibiting pigmentation.

Soya beans extract is an anti-inflammatory agent that softens and moisturizes the skin, supporting its elasticity.

Sodium hyaluronate (the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) facilitates the normalization of water balance by forming a moisturizing protective veil on the skin. The veil reduces transepidermal loss of moisture and actively absorbs water from the air, thus moisturizing the skin surface. Also, sodium hyaluronate makes the skin feel silky-smooth to touch.

Glycosyl trehalose is an emulsion-stabilizing and skin-moisturizing ingredient. It extends and keeps the moisturizing effect of the product. The component effectively fights skin dullness and protein glycation (attachment of a protein to glucose, oxidation and deterioration) that causes grey or yellowish skin tint.

Pullulan is a plant-derived polysaccharide obtained by fermentation. It has a tightening effect, actively binds moisture, improves skin’s resilience thus helping the skin better resist frost, sun and winds. Pullulan is used as a skin-lifting agent. It has both immediate and long-term effects, stimulates and strengthens skin collagen fibres.

Hydrolyzed royal jelly protein boosts cellular immunity, restores membranes, activates metabolic processes of skin cells, improves the elasticity of muscle fibres.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is an intracellular mediator that maintains intracellular junctions and fights aging. Niacinamide reduces the synthesis of melanin, thus preventing the formation of pigmented spots and correcting uneven skin tone, prevents wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, stimulates intracellular metabolism, the synthesis of lipids and free fatty acids, supports barrier function of the skin and possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Probiotics are micgroorganisms supporting skin health. They are beneficial for the immune system and create a natural shield of the skin. When the number of protective microorganisms residing on the skin surface decreases, they are outcompeted by irritation- and inflammation-inducing pathogens. It is impossible to add live microorganisms to cosmetic formulas as such products will go bad immediately. So filtrates, probiotic particles fortifying skin’s immunity and promote turnover, are used instead.
